the Skipper - an off set for the 21st century

Compact and comfortable

The Skipper is our first offset offering. It obviously has it’s origins in a very familiar design but the Skipper’s body is smaller, more compact and balances on a strap perfectly

Modern playability

Th Skipper’s body has deep, welcoming cutaways, both in the belly cut region and around the guitar’s neck joint offering an ease of access so far unavailable with most vintage offset designs

Simplicity

The Skipper has a very simple circuit. The two, true JM-style pickups (not just P90s in a larger enclosure) are wound by RadioShop Pickups and offer clarity and power.

The tremolo system has been countersunk into the Skipper’s body. The benefits are two-fold. The lowering of the unit gives a greater break angle for the strings over the bridge. This reduces overtones and string rattle, particularly on the high ‘B’ and ‘E’ strings. It also looks elegant and more streamlined!
