Gray Guitars was started nearly ten years ago and since then, has become one of the UK’s most recognised guitar brands.

Hi, my name is Thomas Gray and I now live and work in Cornwall, having relocated from west London a couple of years ago.

I am the owner and sole luthier here and I have been playing guitars for over thirty years.

In that time I feel that I have amassed a good working knowledge of what a ‘great guitar’ really needs to be.

A guitar that sounds great, feels fantastic and very importantly, fulfils the player tonally (and aesthetically too!)

I am now known for using the finest roasted Maple straight from the hills of Nova Scotia, Canada for my necks and fingerboards - it’s a fantastic timber for beauty, consistency, rigidity and tone.

I also use Radioshop and Bare Knuckle pickups almost exclusively - I find that both these companies make fantastic products to serve any player.

For hardware, I now use Wudtone bridges for my Emperor models, Rutters bridges for my Admiral (T-types) and a mix of Mastery and Hipshot for many other models such as the Skipper, Brimstone and the new, headless Monarch model.
